Stephen Robbins is an immigration attorney in Yakima, Washington. He has been practicing immigration law since May of 2011. His office is located on the 10th floor of the historic Larson Building in downtown Yakima.
Stephen Robbins was born in Olympia, Washington and raised in Albany, Oregon. He received his bachelor’s degree in Spanish Translation from Brigham Young University, and his law degree from the University of Oregon.
Stephen first became familiar with the plight of immigrants while living in the Canary Islands. He got to know many undocumented workers from throughout Africa and Latin America who had come to Spain in search of a better life. Unfortunately, these immigrants were often forced to deal with discrimination and poor working conditions. Stephen hoped to one day put his education to use by defending the rights of those who found themselves at the margins of society.
After his first year of law school, Stephen went to Peru and worked as an intern on a juvenile rights program sponsored in part by the inter-American Development Bank. During that time he worked with local judges and law enforcement officials to promote alternative sentencing for youth that focused on teaching social responsibility.
Stephen later worked as an intern at the Embassy of Peru in Washington, D.C., and formed part of the Judicial Cooperation Team. He helped translate important documents, and worked on facilitating extradition and prisoner transfer requests.
Stephen graduated from the University Of Oregon School Of Law in December, 2010, and is a member of the Oregon and Washington Bars.
Stephen is fluent in English and Spanish.

Stephen Robbins nació en Olympia, Washington y fue criado en Albany, Oregon. Después de su primer año en la escuela de derecho, Stephen fue al Perú para trabajar de voluntario en un programa de justicia juvenil patrocinado por el Banco Inter-Americana de Desarrollo. Durante ese tiempo trabajó con jueces locales y policía para promover sentencias alternativas, enfocadas en la enseñanza de responsabilidad social, a jóvenes con antecedentes criminales.
De regreso en los estados unidos, Stephen hizo una pasantía en la embajada de Peru en Washington, D.C., formando parte del equipo de cooperación judicial. Ayudó en la traducción de documentos importantes, y trabajó en pedidos de extradición y traslado de prisioneros.Stephen se graduó de la Universidad de Oregon Escuela de Derecho en diciembre de 2010, y es un miembro de la asociación de abogados del estado de Oregon.
Stephen ha practicado derecho de inmigración en Yakima desde mayo de 2011.
